Book Launch: Brittney Cooper presents Eloquent Rage: A Black Feminist Discovers Her Superpower
In conversation with Rebecca Traister

Dr. Brittney Cooper, cofounder of the Crunk Feminist Collective, returns to Greenlight for the launch of her new book Eloquent Rage: A Black Feminist Discovers Her Superpower. In this new collection of essays, Cooper trains her incisive commentary and searing intimacy on the issues facing black feminists today – and the powerful source of energy from which comes the strength to survive. Far too often, Black women’s anger has been caricatured as a force that threatens the civility and social fabric of American democracy. But Cooper shows us that there is more to the story than that. Eloquent rage keeps us all honest and accountable. It reminds women that they don’t have to settle for less. It’s what Michelle Obama has; Serena Williams; Cooper’s grandmother. In Eloquent Rage, Cooper argues that feminism, friendship, and faith in one’s own superpowers are all we really need to turn things right side up again. Cooper launches her new book in conversation with Rebecca Traister, author of All the Single Ladies, followed by a signing and Q&A.
