Encaustics: Now and Then

The National Arts Club presents a discussion on encaustic painting, by visual artist Lynne S. Mayocole which includes the use of wax as utilized by early civilizations, notably in the Fayum in Egypt. Encaustic continues to play a part today as seen in the work of Renee Magnanti.
