Essex Crossing

Dana Getman, Principal of SHoP Architects and Isaac Henderson, Managing Director of Essex Crossing at L+M Development, will explore Essex Crossing, the $1.9 billion, six-acre, mixed-use, mega-project on New York City’s Lower East Side.

Situated at the intersection of Delancey and Essex Streets, Essex Crossing is a city in itself with a multiplex theater, the new International Center of Photography, facilities for seniors and childcare, 50% affordable housing and Essex Market, that honors immigrants with everything from cooking classes to food stalls.

SHoP designed the master plan and several key sites including Essex Market, the ICP, and 242 Broome, a luxury condo.

This program is presented by The National Arts Club.
