Ethics and the Theater will present a play reading of Rapture, Blister, Burn by Gina Gionfriddo.

A professor returns to her hometown to tend to her ailing mother and takes a teaching position at the college where her ex-lover is now dean and married to her ex-roommate.

Pulitzer-prize finalist Gionfriddo takes this romantic triangle and gives it a feminist, postfeminist, and worldly-wise, wryly comic twist.

Come at 6:30pm for a reception and after the reading participate in a discussion of the ethical issues of the play led by Betsy Ungar.

The New York Society for Ethical Culture is a humanist community dedicated to ethical relationships, social justice, and environmental stewardship.
