Examining the Intersection of Bioethics and the Law in 2018

Presented by New York Law School and the Pegalis & Erickson Health Law Colloquium, this program will focus on clinical decision-making, palliative and end-of-life care, dispute resolution, medical and social science research, and informed consent and decision-making.

The event is hosted by New York Law School Trustee and Adjunct Professor Steven Pegalis ’65. The moderator is Adam Herbst Esq., M.B.A., Chief Legal Officer of Blythedale Children’s Hospital and Adjunct Professor at New York Law School. The panelists are Nancy Neveloff Dubler, LL.B. Consultant for Ethics at NYC Health + Hospitals and Adjunct Professor in the Division of Medical Ethics at NYU Langone Medical Center; Karen L. Illuzzi Gallinari ’88 a health law, compliance, and bioethics specialist; Joanne T. Haberlin ’90, R.N., Senior Counsel at NYC Health + Hospitals; and Mary Beth Quaranta Morrissey, Ph.D., M.P.H., J.D., a fellow at Fordham University’s Global Healthcare Innovation Management Center and Senior Policy Advisor in Health and Ethics at the Finger Lakes Geriatric Education Center, University of Rochester Medical Center.
