Explore Swale: Floating Food Forest with The Trust for Public Land

Join The Trust for Public Land‘s Next Gen Council for a panel on the process of using arts and culture in the creation of public spaces. To include a tour of Swale, currently docked at the Brooklyn Army Terminal in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, followed by drinks and snacks. We will learn about the Swale project its relationship to the revitalization of The Brooklyn Army Terminal as an affordable hub for businesses, entrepreneurs and working families in NYC.

Swale is a floating food forest built atop a barge that travels to piers in New York City, offering educational programming and welcoming visitors to harvest herbs, fruits and vegetables for free. Proceeds from this event will support Swale and The Trust for Public Land’s programs in New York.
