Exquisite Elegies

In partnership with the Bogliasco Foundation.

Once deemed “the most beautiful cemetery in the world” (Le Figaro), Genoa’s monumental cemetery is a museum unique in the world, with some of the 19th century’s most stunning and elaborate statuary.

Against a historical background that evokes the period’s crucial sociopolitical shifts, poet Grace Schulman (BF ‘18), visual artist Susan Unterberg (BF ‘01), and sculptor/preservationist Walter Arnold will recount their personal trajectories with Staglieno and share the creative endeavors it has inspired.
