Eye to Eye: Shaun Leonardo

Part of the Guggenheim’s ongoing Eye to Eye series, this intimate evening program features contemporary artist Shaun Leonardo and reflects on themes and artworks from the exhibition Basquiat’s “Defacement”: The Untold Story. For this program, Leonardo draws from his own performance practice, anchored by his work in Assembly – a diversion program for court-involved youth – is participatory in nature and invested in a process of embodiment. The format of the evening will combine a gallery tour, poetic response, conversations, and a movement-based workshop.

$25, $20 members, $18 students. Ticket includes same-day museum admission. Same-day admission tickets may be presented at the door for free entry to the event as space allows. Schedule subject to change. For more information and tickets, visit guggenheim.org.

This program is supported by The Keith Haring Foundation.
