Fact or Fiction Deepfakes & Disinformation

Drawing heavily from the current national security landscape, David Ignatius’ latest spy thriller, “The Paladin,” focuses on the use of disinformation, deepfakes and other means of cyber warfare to destabilize the global information ecosystem and undermine the career of a CIA operative.

Former CIA deputy director John McLaughlin will join Ignatius for a conversation moderated by Washington Post national security reporter Ellen Nakashima. They will talk about the book and how it reflects the current state of American intelligence and cybersecurity efforts to combat disinformation on Thursday, June 4 at 12:00 p.m. ET.
