Facts Machine Live!

Facts Machine returns to Caveat for another live(streamed) show, this time all about brains! This time, Emily, Noah, and Rob are joined by special guest neuroscientist Dr. Paula Croxson, PhD as they put mind over grey matter and fight for neurite to party!

As scientists who moonlight as pub trivia hosts, it’s our job to be curious about interesting questions and to be motivated to search for answers. Accordingly, our podcast asks and answers questions like: Why is the nation of Finland rising out of the ocean? What is the legal definition of a cookie? Why were the Apollo 16 astronauts so gassy? And which animals just really suck? In each episode of Facts Machine we explore questions like these by sharing and discussing three fascinating facts and one pub-style trivia quiz, all loosely inspired by the episode’s theme (and accompanied by more than our fair share of puns along the way).

HOW LIVESTREAM TICKETS WORK:

1. After purchasing a ticket at any price level, you’ll receive an email receipt from Eventbrite that includes the streaming link. The show will be streaming as a private livestream on Caveat’s YouTube channel (don’t search for it on YouTube – it won’t show up! The link in your email is the only way to access the show when it starts.).

2. You’ll receive another email 2 days before the show; 2 hours before the show; and 10 mins before the show (because there’s no shame in not knowing what day or time it is anymore). Those emails will also include the link to the livestream.

3. Just click on the link to watch the show! Shows typically run between 60-90 minutes.

4. If you’d like to participate in the live chat & say hi, or ask questions to the hosts, you’ll need to be logged into your YouTube account – it’s free, and if you have a Google account, it’s super easy to sign in. Not necessary to watch the show though!

5. You can buy a ticket even if the show has already started! And, the video of the livestream will be available to watch after the show – so if you’ve got plans for the actual time of the show, it’s ok! You can buy a ticket, click the link when you’re free, and watch the show at your leisure.

Thanks in advance for not sharing the private streaming link!
