From the Faculty Lounge: Why Do We Do That? Decision-Making and Natural Selection | A Conversation Between Joshua New and Homa Zarghamee

Returning this fall, From the Faculty Lounge continues to bring together some of Barnard’s most notable professors, authors, and experts for enlightening discussions. Now Joshua New, assistant professor of psychology, and Homa Zarghamee, assistant professor of economics, will discuss how human behavior can reflect both explicit decision-making processes and implicit biases shaped by natural selection.

Join Professors New and Zarghamee, along with moderator Provost Linda Bell, as they analyze the ways in which we make choices, both rational and irrational, and how these choices impact our individual and collective good.

Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please arrive early as this event will be filmed and doors will close promptly at 6:30 PM.
