FashionSpeak Fridays: Filipiniana Dress History

Costume Designer Raven Ong presents an evening exploring the timeline of Filipiniana Dress History. Filipiniana clothing refers to the distinctive aspects of the national costumes in the Philippines. Raven Ong obtained his Undergraduate Degree in Production Design at the De La Salle – College of Saint Benilde, School of Design and Arts and a Master’s Degree in Costume Design for the Theater at the University of Connecticut. As a costume designer, Ong has designed for New York Lyric Opera at Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall, as well as for international premieres of plays and musicals.
