Film Screening: Toto', Peppino e la Malafemmina

The Italian American Museum and the Italian Cultural Institute present a screening of Totò, Peppino, and the Hussy (1956), a classic Italian comedy celebrating its 70th anniversary and starring Totò — often called "Italy's Charlie Chaplin."

Two boorish brothers from southern Italy travel to Milan to stop their nephew from marrying a revue dancer, with predictably chaotic results. The film will be introduced by Claudio Pagliara, director of the Italian Cultural Institute in New York, with a talk on Totò's enduring influence. Shown with English subtitles.
