Food, Women & Elections: A Virtual Workshop

Food and elections have been linked for centuries, particularly for women. Although they could not vote in the 19th century, women were able to participate in the civic celebrations by baking, and they also used food to make political statements. In this workshop, we will discuss culinary activism, demonstrate how to make Election Cake, and explore various Jumble recipes and the meaning behind them.
