For Jazz Lovers, Ages 7-70: “Birth of the Cool: Miles Davis”

Revolution Books in Harlem hosts the author and illustrator of the new book for jazz lovers ages 7 to 70, Birth of the Cool: How Jazz Great Miles David Found His Sound

Author Kathleen Cornell Berman and illustrator Keith Henry Brown will be at Revolution Books on Saturday from 5:00-6:30pm for a reading, discussion and book signing.

This just-released picture book focuses on the people, sounds, and experiences that shaped Miles Davis’ unique ear, laying the foundation for a nearly half-century ground-breaking career in music.

Kathleen Cornell Berman is an educator, visual artist and writer who fell in love with Miles Davis’ music when she was 10 years old.

Keith Henry Brown is an artist, lifetime music freak and jazz lover, and was Artistic Director of Jazz at Lincoln Center.
