The Fortune Society Hosts Free Film Screening & Panel Discussion

Join The Fortune Society for a free film screening & panel discussion on the Oscar-nominated documentary Knife Skills.

Knife Skills follows the launch of Edwins restaurant in Cleveland, Ohio. The haute cuisine French restaurant is staffed almost entirely by men and women just out of prison. Most have never cooked or served before and have barely two months to learn their trade. In this setting, the film explores the reentry challenges facing men and women after incarceration.

Ronald Day, Fortune’s Associate Vice President, will moderate the panel discussion with:

Thomas Lennon, Director of Knife Skills, veteran journalist and filmmaker

Keila Pulinario, reentry advocate and founder and owner of Chi Chi’s Kitchen

Roy Waterman, equal justice advocate and owner of Caribbean Soul Caterers

WHERE: The Fortune Society/Castle Gardens
625 W. 140th St. (between Riverside & Broadway)
New York, NY 10031
