How have different technologies enabled the animation of distinctive forms of representation in physical and virtual space? How have artists historically queered and queried hetero-normative technological forms and their functions? This panel discussion brings together three artists whose practices subvert and problematize entrenched notions of how the body is mediated through human-made technologies.
- Omar Kholeif (chair) is a writer and Manilow Senior Curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago.
- Zach Blas is an artist, writer and Lecturer in the Department of Visual Cultures at Goldsmiths, University of London.

Frieze Talks take place daily at 12pm and 4pm in the on-site auditorium at Frieze New York from Thursday, May 5th through Sunday, May 8th. Access to Frieze Talks is included in all admission tickets. Seats can be reserved at the Auditorium desk from 11am on the day of each talk.
The program is co–curated by Tom Eccles (Executive Director, Center for Curatorial Studies, Bard College, New York) and Christy Lange (frieze Associate Editor and Curator of Public Programming, Berlin).
