Cuchifritos Gallery + Project Space is pleased to present gal·va·nizing strat·e·gies: [Black on Black with Black], an exhibition with works by former LES Studio Program Resident Dominique Duroseau, on view at 88 Essex Street from June 11, 2021, through August 14, 2021. An opening reception will be held in the gallery on Friday, June 11 from 4 to 8 pm.

gal·va·nizing strat·e·gies: [Black on Black with Black] is a show of sculptural wall pieces and diaristic audio tracks by Dominique Duroseau. These works explore pillars of existence and acceptance as a Black woman and in times of solitude.

Dominique Duroseau is a Newark-based artist born in Chicago, raised in Haiti. Her interdisciplinary practice explores themes of racism, socio-cultural issues, and existential dehumanization.
