Ghosts of the Missing: Kathleen Donohoe in Conversation With Rachel Gilkey

Author Kathleen Donohoe will sit down with Rachael Gilkey, Director of Programming and Education at the Irish Arts Center, to talk about her new book, GHOSTS OF THE MISSING. Kathleen will also read an excerpt from the book.

ON OCTOBER 28, 1995, A GIRL VANISHED: Rowan Kinnane was not a child particularly prized in town. When questioned by reporters, she was described by those who’d known her as a loner, shy and awkward. Words for pity.

Culleton, New York has a long history—of writers, of artists, and of unsolved mysteries. It’s where Adair grew up before she moved to Brooklyn to try to make it as an artist and escape those who knew about her HIV-positive diagnosis. But after years away, Adair finds herself drawn back to the old Moye House where she was raised.

Ciaran is a writer staying at Moye House writer’s retreat in the hopes of finally solving the mystery of what happened to Rowan Kinnane—his sister, and Adair’s childhood best friend. As the two begin investigating, secrets long buried rise to the surface, complicating Adair’s understanding of herself and what she thought happened on that fateful day.

Perfect for fans of The Lovely Bones and Ruth Ware.
