Green-Wood Presents Scandals, Scalawags & Murder Most Foul!

Green-Wood is the final resting place of many famous and heroic figures in American history, but some of its permanent residents have reputations that are a bit less noble. Veteran tour guide Ruth Edebohls leads visitors on an exploration of the shams, intrigue, and deceptions perpetrated by some of Green-Wood disreputable denizens. Visitors will encounter adulteress Elizabeth Tilton, famed courtesan Lola Montez, 20th-century gangsters Albert Anastasia and Joe Gallo, con men and schemers. This two-hour trolley tour will traverse Green-Wood’s stunning landscape as the backdrop for the graves of these scandalous residents.
