Greenwich Village Rock & Folk Music Walking Tour & Book Launch
We’ve partnered with the City Blocks Culture Collective to present their FREE Greenwich Village Walking Folk & Rock MusicTour and launch their BLOCKS NYC Greenwich Village Coloring Book which celebrates the music, history and architecture of Greenwich Village.
Join a FREE walking tour to celebrate and learn about the rich musical history of Greenwich Village and visit the places of its 60’s & 70’s folk rock scene, see where legends such as Bob Dylan, the Ramones and Led Zeppelin lived and performed. Tours are led by Bob Egan of Pop Spots NYC.
After the walking tour join the FREE official launch party of the BLOCKS NYC Greenwich Village Coloring Book and meet the founder of the City Blocks Culture Collective and creator of the coloring book, Rafi Ghanaghounian in the spectacular surroundings of the Lomography Gallery store where complimentary drinks and light snacks will be served. There will be opportunity to win one of three limited edition books signed by the books illustrator, David Setrakian.
The BLOCKS NYC coloring book includes pullout coloring pages of album covers that played a critical role in the 60’s and 70’s folk and rock scene in Greenwich Village, iconic buildings of musician’s haunts and studios, as well as some personal sketch and journal pages. Each page has an illustration on the front and a stories about the neighborhood on the back and comes packaged in a custom designed “record sleeve”.
