Here/Say: Framing, Part III [Criticisms]

Here/Say, moderated by Lizzy De Vita ‘08, is a series that discusses the relationship between art and relevant issues of our times. This final conversation considers the shifting role of art critics and criticism with art historian Siwin Lo and writer Julia Wolkoff ‘14.

Join Barnard art history and visual arts department to discuss the relationship between art and relevant issues of our times. In its third year at Barnard, Here/Say has invited seven individuals from a range of disciplines to consider ways that we frame the world around us, and how those actions, in turn, affect that world and our experience of it. Frames can be useful. Yet sometimes framing behaviors generate significant issues.
