This collection includes paintings by Van Dyck, Poussin, Rubens, and Rembrandt, and was one of the most famous in eighteenth-century Europe. Find out about the Walpole Collection's impending journey from the State Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg, Russia—where it has been located for over two hundred years—back to Houghton Hall, the Walpole ancestral home in Norfolk, England. Introduction by David, Marquess of Cholmondeley.
