How She Works: Welding and the Metal Arts with Michelle Greene (Virtual Session)

Artist, sculptor, and teacher Michelle Greene got her start in welding working on ships, one of the only female welders in her union. She has since become an accomplished artist, creating one-of-a-kind metal sculptures, furniture, and works of public art from her studio in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, where she has been a tenant for more than 20 years. Michelle will share works made from salvaged materials from the shipyard’s past, her artistic process, and her passion for creating functional public art for everyday people to enjoy.
