HWBC & Science Friday Present “Ask A Spaceman” Live with Paul M. Sutter

Astrophysicist and educator Paul M. Sutter is bringing his podcast and Youtube series “Ask a Spaceman!” live to the bookstore!

Inspired by his book Your Place in the Universe, Paul will engage with three experts in different fields in response to the book’s sections ORIGINS, LIFE, and DEATH, moderated by Science Friday’s Diana Montano. After each discussion, the audience will have the opportunity to ask questions.

Shara Bailey

Associate professor in NYU’s Department of Anthropology’s Center for the Study of Human Origins, Bailey’s research focuses on using teeth to answer questions about human evolution. Her recent work comprises the systematic and comparative study of deciduous teeth (baby teeth), and seeks to answer questions about the evolution of childhood.

DEATH

Alex Wellerstein

Historian of science who specializes in the history of nuclear weapons and nuclear secrecy, Wellerstein currently teaches Science and Technology Studies in the College of Arts and Letters at the Stevens Institute of Technology.
