ACLU national legal director, journalist, and scholar David Cole (Engines of Liberty: How Citizen Movements Succeed), Pulitzer Prize-winning historian and law professor Annette Gordon-Reed (“Most Blessed of the Patriarchs”: Thomas Jefferson and the Empire of Imagination), and critically-acclaimed nonfiction writer and essayist Brenda Wineapple (The Impeachers: The Trial of Andrew Johnson and the Dream of a Just Nation) will discuss the historical and legal precedents, and future possibilities.
