In Search of Khaykl Lunski

Khaykl Lunski’s presence was felt in nearly every field of Vilna Jewish culture, far beyond his library work. In a way, Lunski was a link between the focal cultural institutions of inter-bellum Jewish Vilnius–the custodian of its spiritual treasures. Dr. Kara Lempert will address several aspects of Lunski’s work and share some thoughts or, rather, questions on his personality–evasive in its humility and represented almost entirely in the public sphere.
