Indigenous Long Island: The Art and History of Jeremy Dennis

In honor of Native American Heritage Month, HMTC presents a virtual program on Zoom with Shinnecock Nation artist Jeremy Dennis, whose “On This Site: Indigenous Long Island” project seeks to draw attention to culturally significant Native American sites on Long Island that may not be well known outside the Native American community. Mr. Dennis will talk about the archeological evidence that has been uncovered about the residents who made Long Island their home before European settlement and share some of his photographs that capture those sites today.
