Inside Industry Tour | Women Welders: Michelle Greene & Susan Woods

In celebration of Women’s History Month, this tour looks inside the Yard through the lens of two artists who redefine gender stereotypes around working with industrial materials and techniques: Michelle Greene and Susan Woods. The tour starts at Building 92 where visitors will get a comprehensive overview of the Yard’s 200+ year history before visiting the studios of Greene and Woods who will share their experiences of working at the Yard (a combined 30+ years) and discuss their recent work.

Michelle Greene is a certified M/WBE business. She works on both small and large-scale projects using both new and repurposed materials. Her work ranges from sculptural and conceptual objects to functional furniture. She has also worked on three public art projects in NYC and teaches at the New School and Parsons School of Constructed Environments. Learn more: michellegreenesculpture.com
