Art historian Julia Bryan-Wilson will present an illustrated overview of her forthcoming publication Fray: Art and Textile Politics (University of Chicago Press, 2017). Discussing the works on view in the War and Pieced exhibition, as well as modern counterparts, Julia will explore the relationship between textiles, gender, and war. A book signing will follow the discussion.
