With a host of online programming, educational opportunities, and a special presentation of the traditional reading ceremony, this Independence Day will be as patriotic as ever. Stay tuned for more details on our programming and how to log on for the day of celebration!

Welcome remarks from the Archivist of the United States, David S. Ferriero followed by a discussion with Thomas Jefferson. The founding father will cover the Declaration of Independence and participate in a Q&A with National Archives Foundation Executive Director Patrick Madden.

The Q&A will be followed by a recorded session with the National Archives Education team that will discuss more about the Archives, Charters of Freedom, and the Rotunda. The Faulkner Mural of the Declaration of Independence will also be discussed and linked to coloring activities.
