Where: Fractal Tech, 111 Conselyea St, Brooklyn, NY 11211
Price: Free
An informal philosophy discussion group gathering around Karl Popper's essay "What is Dialectic?" — reading recommended but not mandatory.
Popper challenges the idea that thought develops through a thesis → antithesis → synthesis pattern, arguing it's really just a special case of trial and error — and that treating contradictions as fruitful rather than fixable opens the door to dangerous dogmatism.
The evening runs about two hours: a brief framing, three small-group discussion rounds with reshuffling between groups, and an open floor. Vegan mezze and pita provided.
