What is American cheese? The answer may surprise you. Whether it’s shaved from a perfectly formed, rectangular loaf at the deli or peeled from its plastic divider, this cheese remains shrouded in a veil of mystery for the millions of people who eat it every day. Join Murray’s Cavemaster, Josh Windsor, on a guided tour from the birth of American cheese in the trenches of WWI, to the world’s first cheese factory built in New York State. We will taste through six cheeses that illuminate key moments in American cheese history from supermarket favorites to delicate, farmstead beauties. Find out how diverse this category of cheese can be and discover something new about the cheeses you’ve always eaten. This tasting will be accompanied by continuous pours of our house wines.

Recommended for ages 16 and up. Non-alcoholic beverages are available in substitution of house wines IF you specify your needs ahead of time. $75.
