Lauren Lawrence: The Trouble with Words

Lauren Lawrence is the Dreams Columnist of the New York Daily News and the author of three Dream Keys series of books, Private Dreams of Public People and the poetry collection Side Effects.

The title The Trouble With Words reveals the difficulty in describing the intense psychological pain and physical stress of those involved in a fighting a war. These anti-war poems can only comprehend so much–the tip of the iceberg, as it were–but attempt to shed light on the significant, unrelenting trauma to the psyche. The book is dedicated to all the selfless, brave men and women who have fought for their country.
