During President Lincoln’s tumultuous final months in office, he pursues a course of action to end the Civil War, unite the country, and abolish slavery. How was one of the most important series of events in American history turned into one of the year’s most acclaimed movies? This special screening will be followed by an exclusive conversation with screenwriter and playwright Tony Kushner (Angels in America, Munich) and Lincoln scholar Harold Holzer, author of the official film companion book Lincoln: How Abraham Lincoln Ended Slavery in America. A book signing will follow the discussion.
