A Literary Journey to Jewish Identity: Re-Reading Bellow, Roth, Malamud, Ozick and Other Great Jewish Writers

Stephen B. Shepard, author of A Literary Journey to Jewish Identity: Re-Reading Bellow, Roth, Malamud, Ozick, and Other Great Jewish Writers, talks with Rabbi Scott Perlo about what it means to be a Jewish-American writer and how post-war Jewish American writers shaped his Jewish identity.

Reflecting on what was a golden age for Jewish writers, Shepard analyzes many of his favorite books in light of his own family upbringing and describes how the books helped him arrive at his own sense of Judaism.
