LIVE from the NYPL | Susan Meiselas with Ann Hamilton: In Focus

Documentary photographer Susan Meiselas is probably best-known for her work dealing with human rights, cultural identity, and the sex industry. Books like Carnival StrippersNicaragua, or Prince Street Girls exemplify the intimate engagements she has with the people whose lives she has explored through photography, film, and video. She is joined by artist Ann Hamilton to document the arc of a career that is currently being celebrated in Mediations, a traveling retrospective of Meiselas’s work from the 1970s to the present.
