Local Roots NYC Summer Shakedown
On July 19, we will bring together food lovers at our Summer Shakedown to celebrate local food that tastes out of this world! This free party will feature an epic salad bar with all the fixings repping our various Farm Share options: zero food waste kale stems, greens, sous vide eggs, kraut, cheese, etc as well as iced coffee samples and shrub spritzers.
Participants can discover their spirit veggie, meet other food loving NYers, learn about the logistics of how our farmers transport food from farm to city, and enjoy culinary demonstrations such as how to build a fancy cheese platter (and photograph it well).
Orders for our Farm Share placed during the party will receive a goodie bag of local treats ranging from Local Roots veggies to artisanal Sambal and a can of Toast Ales. The first 25 attendees will also receive a goodie bag of local treats.
