With guests Nora Davis Day, Guy Davis, and Hasna Muhammad. Ruby Dee and Ossie Davis were artists of the highest caliber, life-long activists, and engaged and loving parents. Their three children join The Town Hall in an evening exploring the lives of their parents. Ruby Dee and Ossie Davis came to The Town Hall several times for events like the Birmingham Memorial, The Black Revolution and the White Backlash, for poetry performances, and even a Chilean rally. In 2020, as always, we turn to Ruby Dee and Ossie Davis to learn what committed artistic practice and struggle for liberation can be. Join The Town Hall on September 8th to learn from the people who knew them best.
