A.M. Homes: Days of Awe with Hannah Tinti

With her signature humor and compassion, A.M. Homes exposes the heart of an uneasy America in her new collection – exploring our attachments to each other through characters who aren’t quite who they hoped to become, though there is no one else they can be. A razor-sharp story collection from a writer who is always “furiously good” (Zadie Smith). Homes will be in conversation with Hannah Tinti.

A.M. Homes lives in New York City and teaches at Princeton University. She is the author of twelve books, including the bestselling memoir The Mistress’s Daughter. She is a contributing editor to Vanity Fair; co-executive producer of Falling Water and Stephen King’s Mr. Mercedes; and is the recipient of awards including the Guggenheim, NEA, and NYFA fellowships. Her novel May We Be Forgiven won the Women’s Prize for Fiction, 2013, and has been optioned for film by Unanimous Entertainment.

Hannah Tinti is the author of the bestselling novel The Good Thief, which won The Center for Fiction’s first novel prize, and the story collection Animal Crackers, a runner-up for the PEN/Hemingway Award. Her new novel, The Twelve Lives of Samuel Hawley, is an Indie-Next bestseller and has been optioned for television. She teaches creative writing at New York University’s MFA program and co-founded the Sirenland Writers Conference. Tinti is also the co-founder and executive editor of One Story magazine, which won the AWP Small Press Publisher Award, and the PEN/Magid Award for Excellence in Editing.
