When Henry Hudson and a small crew set out in 1609, they were looking for a passage to the riches of Asia; instead they found Mannahatta, rich with old growth forests, stately wetlands, rolling hills, sandy shores, and abundant wildlife. Join Dr. Eric Sanderson of the Wildlife Conservation Society as he reveals the island of Mannahatta that September afternoon more than 400 years ago and explore what it means for our city today.
