March CHAPTERS with Molly Crabapple

Girls Write Now is thrilled that Molly Crabapple will be our keynote speaker on March 16, kicking off our 20th Anniversary Spring Celebrations and the 2018 CHAPTERS Reading Series. The reading will be held from 6-8pm at the New-York Historical Society.

The CHAPTERS Reading Series showcases today’s new voices, including Girls Write Now mentees Assata Andrews, Janein Brookes, Maggie Chen, Brianna Clarke-Arias, Sophia DeMartino, Manar Dihyem, Joli Amour Dubose-Morris, Mariah Galindo, Kimberley Garcia, Stephanie Haskell, Faiza Khanom, Diamond Lewis, Natalie Mojica, Angely Morel, Gabriela Palermo, Rebecca Partap, Emily Rinaldi, Daleelah Saleh, Carolyn Schmit, Kaitlyn Yang, and En Yu Zhang.

Third year Girls Write Now pair, mentee Gia Deeton and her mentor Lindsay Zoladz, will be the evening’s emcees.

Molly Crabapple is an artist and writer in New York. Her reportage has been published in the New York Times, New York Review of Books, VICE, and more. She has been the recipient of a Yale Poynter Fellowship, a Front Page Award, and a Gold Rush Award, and shortlisted for a Frontline Print Journalism Award. Her art is in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art, the Rubin Museum of Art and the New York Historical Society.
