A celebration of Marcia Marcus — one of the boldest, most uncompromising, and yet overlooked painters of postwar American art — and the publication of a stunning new retrospective monograph of her career. Author Debra Lennard joins art historians Brandon Fortune, Melissa Rachleff, and Daniel Belasco in conversation, followed by a signing.
The book's publication coincides with the upcoming exhibition Marcia Marcus: Strange and Clear at the Provincetown Art Association and Museum, opening June 26.
RSVPs encouraged but not required. Seating is limited and first come, first served. Doors open at 5:30 pm. Unable to attend? Signed copies are available to order online — specify in the comments at checkout.
