Matthew Klam launches his long-awaited first novel Who Is Rich?, following his critically acclaimed short story collection Sam the Cat. Unfolding over four days, Who Is Rich? is a warped and exhilarating study in midlife alienation, bitterness, lust, and love. Rich Fischer is a once-sort-of-famous, now struggling cartoonist, and husband and father of two. Amy O’Donnell is a forty-one-year-old painting student, mother of three, wife to a brutish Wall Street titan who commutes to work via helicopter. Rich and Amy are reunited at the eccentric summer arts conference where drum circles happen on the beach at midnight, clothing optional. Will they rescue each other or destroy each other?
