Barbara Rose, independent scholar and former Morgan Drawing Institute Fellow, examines the Beatus medieval manuscripts on the Apocalypse produced in northern Spain and southern France and will talk about their relevance for artists such as Miro, Picasso, Leger, and Matisse, who lived through apocalyptic nightmares of the twentieth century.
