The Merchant Of Venice: John Andrews in Conversation with Director Karin Coonrod

This sequel to their March 2016 conversation will not only focus on the production and the context that gave rise to it, but on a symposium that preceded the performance on July 27, 2016, when Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg presided over deliberations that included remarks by F. Murray Abraham, Stephen Greenblatt, and James Shapiro, and were covered by The New York Times.

About the speaker: Karin Coonrod is a faculty member at the Yale School of Drama, founder of the Compagnia de’Colombari theater company, and a director famed for her Shakespeare productions.
