Michael Avedon

Through his work across fashion, portraiture, and documentary, Michael Avedon has established himself as an important new voice as a young artist in the world of photography. His 2018 cover story for New York Magazine, “72 Years of School Shootings”, was hailed as a significant and influential work of photojournalism. His unique approach to image making has included collaborations with brands such as Louis Vuitton, Bulgari, and Dior.

Avedon will be joined by New York Magazine’s Director of Photography Jody Quon to explore the artist’s journey and how concepts such as empathy, history, politics, and legacy inform his vision.
