New York Times financial journalist Peter Lattman talks to William D. Cohan, author of Money and Power: How Goldman Sachs Came to Rule the World (2011), and Bryan Burrough, author of Barbarians at the Gate: The Fall of RJR Nabisco (1989), about wealth and the role Wall Street has played in defining the national zeitgeist during New York’s last “Gilded Age” in the 1980s as well as today. They will compare Wall Street’s current wave of scandals to the infamous 1980s era of Ivan Boesky, Michael Milken and the fictional Gordon Gekko.
