Morris-Jumel Reopening

The Morris-Jumel Mansion has been carefully monitoring the rate of COVID-19 in New York City. In accordance with guidance provided by New York City and New York State, we are pleased to announce the Morris-Jumel Mansion will reopen its doors to the public on Thursday, September 10th with special admission for museum members on Saturday, September 5th and Sunday, September 6th. Be among the first to view our exhibition, From Mansion to Museum!

To help ensure physical distancing and a safe, comfortable experience, new protocols and safety measures will be implemented, including limiting the number of visitors in the museum. We ask all visitors to reserve their visit in advance at MorrisJumel.org where you can also reviewing our tour options and visitor guidelines and procedures, which have been put into place to ensure you get the most of your museum experience.

Museum operating hours will be Thursday – Sunday 11:00 am – 5:00 pm with two different options for tours available each day:  the new in-depth Mansion & Grounds tour (starting at 11:00 am) or our self-guided interior tour (available from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm with the last entry at 4:00 pm.)

Your health and safety are our top priorities. To keep our museum community safe, our staff is closely adhering to recommendations and guidelines set forth by the World Health Organization (WHO), Center for Disease Control (CDC), New York Department of Health (DOH), NYC Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS), the American Alliance of Museums (AAM), and other best practices.
