Nathan Englander in Conversation with Jonathan Safran Foer

In conversation with Jonathan Safran Foer

Co-sponsored by the Jewish Book Council

Nathan Englander – Pulitzer Prize finalist, best-selling author of For the Relief of Unbearable Urges, and beloved Greenlight neighbor – is at the height of his powers with his new novel Dinner at the Center of the Earth. A political thriller that unfolds in the highly charged territory of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and pivots on the complex relationship between a prisoner and his guard, the novel traces the intersecting lives of disparate characters to create a powerful, intensely suspenseful portrait of a nation riven by insoluble conflict, even as the lives of its citizens become inextricably entwined. Englander discusses his book and the intersection of fiction and world events with fellow novelist Jonathan Safran Foer (Everything Is Illuminated, Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close, Here I Am) at this evening’s event.

Each $30 ticket includes admission to the event, as well as a hardcover copy of Dinner at the Center of the Earth; books are distributed at the event. Nathan Englander will sign books following the discussion (no limit on books per person).
